Before the Snow uses shades of red to form elements of this autumnal landscape

Before the Snow is an earlier piece of his artwork crated in 1920. In this piece he uses surrealism as his foundation and brings it to life with fiery bold colors.

The viewer is given a clear reminder of autumn, the earth a brown color with snow in the clouds above. The colors of the tree overlap with those in the sky.

He portrays the seasons in a gentle yet stunning combination. Most of his work was inspired by his travel experiences and this painting brings around an exotic and exciting view on a season which brings new growth, a new year and new life.

He takes his abstract ideas to a new level in this surreal painting. Artists have been using his work as inspiration and motivation to create similar pieces but no-one can compete yet with his ideas that are portrayed on paper.

Before the Snow is another magnificent example of his love for art and is a historical piece of evidence that will keep Paul Klee with us for centuries to come.

Klee spent a large portion of his life teaching art at various universities and schools. He was found out to be a jew under the ruling of Hitler where a lot of his later paintings were confiscated.

His entire art legacy contains overs 6000 pieces of work which have been an inspiration to artists around the world.
